Bird Netting for the Prevention
of Pigeons, Seagulls, Starlings & Sparrows
By far the
most popular prevention for all species of pest bird. Netting
when installed profesionally using the correct fixings and
knowledge of the technician will prevent all access of bird
activity from the excluded zone. This maybe air conditioning
units, light wells, fire escapes, shop fronts, power stations,
stadiums or pretty much anywhere that pigeons can gain access
too.
Netting can be installed using either a stainless steel or
galvansised wire frame of which corner fixings are placed
at every turn and ten meter intervals to take the main strain
of the net. Depending on the pest species intermediate fixings
are placed approximetly every 1 meter apart (starlings require
every 0.5m and sparrows every 0.33m).
The actual net is made to order so hence any size can be
obtainable however we prefer to work to a max of 20m x 20m
per net due to the size and weight. The largest net installed
by our company is approx 200m x 20m within a busy loading
bay of a paper company in Oxfordshire.
The net is attached to the installed wire frame using the
appropriate hogring staples (we have purchased an American
pneumatic hogringer to ease fixing time, that can be offered
for hire if requested).
